Friday 4th April 2008

6:30pm Black Tie Ball with entertainment by Boogie Knights. Includes hors d’oeurves and two course meal with all beer and quality bottled wine included. There is also a lucky door prize to be won - a $300 Mens and Ladies Skincare Mary Kay gift basket courtesy of Eve Zumpe Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics.

2:00am Close.

Saturday 5th April 2008

11:30am Complimentary buses running to Bassett Park.

12:30pm Carlton Member’s Bar opens at the southern end of the grandstand. Member entry is complimentary. Non-members $10 entry.

1:00pm Six Race Programme commences at Bassett Park:

Race 1    1:00pm    Statham Cheesman Maiden Plate
Race 2    1:40pm    National Australia Bank Class 3 Plate
Race 3    2:20pm    William & Partners Class B Handicap
Race 4    3:00pm    Commonwealth Bank Class 4 Handicap
Race 5    3:40pm    Carlton Mid Ladies Bracelet Open Handicap
Race 6    4:50pm    Black Toyota QTIS Added Stakes Maiden Plate

1:05pm – 1:35pm nominations open for the Fashions on the Field at a fee of $5 with half the proceeds going to Breast Cancer. There is a lucky nomination prize to be won - a $300 Glamour Cosmetic Mary Kay gift basket, courtesy of Eve Zumpe Independent Beauty Consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics.

3:00pm Afternoon tea commences in the hall.

3:45pm Judging of the Fashions on the Field and presentation of fantastic prizes including DA Robinson & Co bracelet valued at $4750, two nights at the Stamford Plaza and much more.

5:30pm Party the night away with live band “Boogie Knights.”

6:00pm Carvery meals available for purchase in the Carlton Mid Member’s area.

1:00am Close.
 
A free shuttle bus will be available Friday night from 6:00pm and Saturday morning from 11:30am for the picking up and returning of guests to the centre of town at Kooka’s BP via all major motels and hotels. Bars will be operating and food and refreshments will be available for purchase. Eftpos and TAB facilities available.

Fosters Australia and the Roma Picnic Committee encourage the responsible consumption of alcohol.
